New Fieldmotion app update avaliable for Android devices
An updated version of the Fieldmotion App is avaliable to download on the Google Play Store.
Your app user may have auto-updates turned off, so it is important that they check if an update is available.
1. Swipe the Fieldmotion app closed.
2. Ask the app user to visit the Playstore app on their Android Device
3. Click on the circle on the far right - this may have the users’ initials
4. Click on Manage apps and device
5. Click on See details
6. If Fieldmotion does not appear in
the list of apps to update, the update has already been installed. Skip
to Step 8
7. If Fieldmotion does appear in the list of apps to update, press the Update icon
8. Once the update has downloaded, log out* of the Fieldmotion app and log back in again to allow the update to take place.
*BEFORE LOGGING OUT, PLEASE ASK APP USERS TO CHECK THEY HAVE NO ITEMS IN THE UPLOAD QUEUE. IF USERS PROCEED TO LOG OUT AND THERE ARE ITEMS IN THE UPLOAD QUEUE - THIS INFORMATION WILL BE IRRETRIEVABLE
When the app user next logs in, please ask them to double check that their permissions are enabled to allow camera images to be saved to their device gallery.
To do this
1. Click on the settings icon within the App
2. Ensure that the option " Copy images to gallery " is set to Yes
When users log into the app, by default the Copy images to gallery option will be set to No therefore it is important that they set this to Yes.
If app users do log out from their app, they will need to remember to set the above option to Yes when they next log in.
This will ensure that any images taken via the camera will save a copy to the device Gallery. If this option is set to No, then a copy will not be saved.
Please note that iOS users do not require an App update
