Below you will find step by step instructions for merging duplicate customers in Fieldmotion.
Step 1 - Go to the customer module in your Fieldmotion system
( in the below example you will see two customers with the name belshaw - and Belshaw's )
Step 2 - Scroll to the bottom of the customer page and Select the Merge button
Step 3 - Choose the rules that best suit the merge you would like to do - in the above example belshaw and belshaw's is not an exact match, therefore we have chosen Near (2 letters diff ) in the Match type. You can then choose match on name or name and 1st line of address, and either select either Wait for Instruction or Automatic - we would recommend Wait for instruction for those with limited knowledge of this feature
Step 4 - Click on the Search button
it will then display all potential customers in your Fieldmotion system that can be merged.
Step 5 - Click on the Merge button on screen
this will merge the customers that appear on the Right hand side with those on the left of the same line - There could be multiple lines of customers depending on how many customers your Fieldmotion system has found.
Fieldmotion will display the message below when complete.
You will now notice that the two customers that appeared in Step 3 screenshot have been merged into one
